Have you ever wondered how your Human Design can guide you to have better relationships and stronger self-worth? In this blog post, we’re diving deep into the Human Design Love Gates in the G Center of your chart—your inner compass for attracting the love and the life that you truly crave.
In Human Design, your chart holds unique keys to understanding yourself deeply. Among these keys are the Love Gates in the G Center, which are specific Gates within your Human Design chart that significantly influence your self-perception and self-worth. These Gates, when understood and embraced, can guide you toward healthier and happier relationships, including the most important relationship of all, and that is the one that you have with yourself. The Love Gates in the Human Design G Center can also help you become more of a magnet to attract into your life what you truly want.
But before we dive into what these Love Gates are, where you can find them in your Human Design chart and what you can do with them, let's clear up some common misconceptions about self-worth and love, especially self-love.
First, your self-worth is not directly tied to any of your achievements or the approval that comes from other people. You do not need to meet certain standards or goals to make yourself-worthy. The truth is that self-worth comes from recognizing your inherent value as a person, regardless of your accomplishments or your failures. And sure, achieving goals can boost your confidence and can bring you a sense of joy. But your worth remains constant regardless of external outcomes. And self-worth cannot be given or taken away by any other person on this planet. So if someone criticizes you, has a negative opinion of you, fails to see you as an amazing person, or fails to appreciate you exactly as you are, your self-worth does not go down. Instead, self-worth is an internal state that you create at will within yourself.
Second, your inner critic is not always right. Your inner critic is that voice or that pattern of thoughts inside your head that expresses itself by giving you negative feedback and telling you negative self judgments, doubts, and criticisms. It often focuses only on perceived flaws, mistakes, or places where you could be considered inadequate. And the trouble is that people often accept the negative messages from their inner critic as the truth. So it's up to you to question the truth of your inner critic’s messages and then to reframe those negative thoughts with more balanced and positive ones.
Third, we can make ourselves more magnetic to love–all types of love–when we raise the frequency of love that we are experiencing within our bodies. And romantic love is NOT the only type of love that exists.
Fourth, self-love is not selfish. It's actually one of the most generous things that you can do for yourself and for other people. It's about recognizing and respecting your own worth and well being. And it's about giving yourself the same kindness and care that you would give to other people. When you're able to take care of yourself emotionally, physically, and mentally, then you are more able to share with others without draining yourself. And when you neglect your own needs, you can diminish your ability to be present and supportive for those that you care about and that you want to take care of.
Fifth, the key to lasting relationship happiness with others and within yourself lies not so much in the actions you take, but in achieving something that I like to call heartprint harmony, where you embrace and align yourself with who you truly are at your core and then fully love and accept yourself. Your ability to fully love yourself, your ability to lean into your own inherent self-worth, and your ability to challenge the messages from your inner critic are directly related to what you attract from the outer world world. So you must learn to love yourself first, because everything else hinges on this.
Next, we're going to dive into what the Human Design Love Gates are, where you can find them in your Human Design chart, and then what you can do with them.
In Human Design, the BodyGraph is made up of Centers, Channels, and Gates. There are nine Centers in Human Design, and each Center has different Gates attached to it. Each Gate carries specific energies and themes, and they influence how we express those energies in our lives.
Now, there are 64 Gates in the Human Design system, and a select few are directly related to the concept of love, but love in all of its different forms, NOT just romantic love. And the love Gates that are located in the G Center are crucial in shaping your relationship with yourself, how you relate to others, and they can provide a ton of insights into where you may have negative patterns of self-criticism and self-appreciation.
When you deliberately regulate your energy with the Love Gates, it can become easier for you to use your natural magnetism to attract whatever you desire in relationships and in whatever you want in your life.
There are ten Love Gates in the Human Design BodyGraph, and four of these are located in the G Center of the Human Design chart:
Gate 10 has to do with self-love and is fundamentally about loving yourself unconditionally. When you are able to tap into the higher expressions of this Gate, it can influence your self-perception and can encourage you to deeply accept all of who you are, flaws and all.
Gate 15 has to do with the love of humanity. It's about loving humanity and appreciating the diversity of the people that you see all around you.
Gate 25 is all about universal love and spiritual connection, and it can help you see the Divine within yourself and others.
Gate 46 has to do with the love of the body. It's all about loving and appreciating your physical body.
To figure out where to find the Love Gates in the G Center of your Human Design chart, first you're going to need a copy of your Human Design chart, which you can get FREE by clicking HERE.
Once you have that in front of you, in your individual Human Design chart, you'll see that you have certain Gates defined or colored in based on the time, place and date that you were born. The Gates are the small numbers located in the nine Centers.
A Gate that is defined in your Human Design chart, or colored in, is considered a consistent part of who you are, is usually an important theme in your life, and a reliable energy that you can draw from.
An undefined Gate, which is not colored in, can indicate a potential area of learning for you.
But it's important to know that you do not need to have a certain Gate defined in your Human Design chart to work with its energy.
The love Gates mentioned here are all located in the G center, which is one of the nine centers in Human Design. Very briefly, the G center is our main point of attraction for everything that we want in life. It's part of the heart chakra, where our physical heart lives, and where the literal heart of the Law of Attraction also lives. It's where we understand who we are and the different directions that we take.
The more you can work with the G center and its Gates intentionally, the more you'll be able to consciously open up to receive whatever it is that you desire. There is a ton of power and a ton of magic in the G center. If you can tune into your gifts here and practice using the magic within it more and more, you'll be able to receive and manifest in a much more powerful and aligned way.
So let's talk about what you can do with this information, because information is just information unless you apply it.
A good place to start would be to focus on any of the love Gates mentioned here that you actually have defined in your individual Human Design chart, because these are energies that you have more available to yourself all of the time.
But what if you're like me and you do not have any of the love Gates mentioned here defined in your chart?
Each of the 64 Gates, including these love Gates, have higher and lower expressions. Being in a lower expression of a Gate isn't necessarily a negative thing or a reason that you should beat yourself up, but it's a way for you to become more aware of the vibe that you're choosing to dwell in and then to lovingly shift into the higher expression, if that's what you want to do. So, whether you have a certain Gate in your chart defined or not, this doesn't really matter.
Another good place to start is by looking at whether you are currently operating at a lower expression of the G center. Whether you have a defined G center or not, you can still be operating at a lower frequency of this Center. The lower frequency of the G center can show up in the following ways:
These are the main ways that a lower frequency of the G center shows up, but there are, of course, many more.
Recognizing these things as they show up and then reconnecting yourself with the gifts in your G center can be extremely powerful and can also help you raise your frequency. Since the G center is the heart of the Law of Attraction, the more you can raise your frequency of love, the more you will be able to create the reality that you want in your life.
